I became vegan 4 years ago after 17 years of vegetarianism. I have to admit I went fully vegan not because of the animals but because I wanted to eat healthier. A few months after going vegan, I started understanding the ethical and moral aspects of veganism.
After many documentaries, stories, articles, publications and visits to animal shelters I promised myself I was going to give my best to become a better human. Veganism has showed me compassion, kindness and respect for myself, all beings around me and planet Earth.
What vegetarianism could not do in 17 years veganism did in less than one year: I have more energy, never been healthier and happier, full of peace and good mood, and a more tangible loving relationship with nature and myself.
I know I am not myself anymore. Veganism has changed me completely.
I truly believe veganism is a beautiful and kind way to understand the purpose of life. I feel ‚awaken‘ and I really wish more people could join this experience.
