I became vegan in 2006 after flirting back and forth with vegetarian and pescatarian diets on and off for a couple of years. Initially I was compelled to become vegan for animal ethics despite a lack of an easily accessible vegan community or information on veganism at the time. Over the years my beliefs grew to include both environmental issues and human health as the facts became undeniable and equally as motivating to remain vegan.
My passion for animals led me to veganism, and consequently my passion for veganism led me to health and fitness, and I’ve now returned to university to become a nutritionist to assist others to benefit from positive dietary and lifestyle changes.
I’ve traveled to many countries and despite language and cultural barriers it’s never been easier to become vegan.
