As the name if my profile says I am from Tunisia. I grew up there, in a culture where animal products mean a lot for the diet of the average people. Animal products are seen as the source of strength and power. This is why I had to eat them as a male person. Couple of years ago I moved to Germany and came across vegeterianism and veganism through another Tunisian guy that had a crush on a vegetarian girl and who was posting a lot about this subject.
The funny thing is that I don’t get along with that guy but I am very thankful to him. He made me turn from a Hardcore meat eater to veganism in 30 minutes (well the articles he shared on Facebook). Few months later I started my instagram Account to inspire more arab people to go vegan. And than I started my YouTube channel (A Tunisian Vegan) in arabic with english subtitles because there’s no other YouTube channels about veganism in arabic.
I am not a big YouTuber, nor a famous instagramer but I feel that I am doing something good for the World and for the other living beings. I still want to destroy the image of the stereotypical vegan being slim, athletic, hippy and pushy. Yes I am vegan, yes I do sport, but I am not as lean as other vegans, and no I don’t ennoy people with veganism. Vegans come in all shapes and sizes and they are good the way you are.
