Hi, my name is Joe, I live in England. Growing up as a responsible young man with great passion for looking after animals and I’m also a fitness fanatic with good knowledge of Biochemistry; I decided to go vegan not only because of the animals but it is also because of our mother nature and moral justification within the society. In addition, I created my Instagram page to inspire and educate young and adult individuals by improving their quality of life.

Why Did I become Vegan?
3 years ago, I suffered to two types of eating disorder called Binge Eating and Bulimia Nervosa. I literally had to eat massive amounts of meats and cakes in order to satisfy my feelings. Also, I had to throw up all the food I ate immediately after feeling the guilt which I would have gained tonnes of bodyweight the next day. Sadly, without even realising that all the foods I ate were from sentient/innocent beings; it was a couple of years back, then I met a guy called Maze at Hurlingham Boxing Club in London.

He kept bringing up the subject “Veganism” and I really disliked him at first. In fact, I laughed at him and said “I hate Vegetables my friend and I cannot give up my meat” and I was never interested in going vegan but whenever I hear the word “VEGAN” many times from him, what I think straight off my head is eating CARROTS and LETTUCES! But No! Neither was I right or wrong! I have never seen the complete definition of the word “VEGAN” before until I researched it slowly and effectively.

My friend Maze kept sending me a lot of vegan links and documentaries, and I couldn’t be bothered to check them, but I accidentally clicked on one of them. After watching “EARTHLINGS”, I literally cried in tears and said to myself “These Animals are more than just an Object. They Deserve to live their life”. My mindset was changed and set to a different level of perception. I am never going back to where I was fitting in; it’s a new world!

The people who also inspired my transition to veganism were “Dr Melanie Joy PhD”, “Vegan Gains” and “Jon Venus”. I watched their informative Youtube Videos to gain more knowledge and insight into veganism. I am an undergraduate student pursuing my dream to become a doctor like “Dr Michael Gregor” and “Dr Neal Barnard” because I want to educate young and adult people for the next generation by showing up scientific research and statistical evidence.
I do Bodybuilding as part of my lifestyle whilst chasing my career prospectives for myself, family and the world. My fitness performance improved, and made more gains in the Gym! I usually eat loads of veggies and fruits now though. It’s the healthiest I have ever been and the best thing I have ever done in my life. My eating disorders were solved by doing more psychological research and I am also feeling much energised during the day.

Although I lost many friends in general, I never let it get me down! In fact, I realised who my real friends were and who were worth the time to spend with. I am an open-minded, passionate and approachable when I talk VEGANISM to people. If you are reading this right now, make sure to share the love on my Instagram page: the_vegan_angel
Thanks for being part of the solution!
