Ever since I was young, I’ve been obsessed with weight and helping the environment – probably because I come from a family who are all environmentalists.

But, what I noticed was that everybody ate a lot of meat in my family, and most of them were overweight due to it. When I started gaining weight around age 13, I had enough of it and went vegetarian, hoping to lose some weight.

I did lose some, but I was still eating copious amounts of junk food, believing that because I didn’t eat meat, I wouldn’t become overweight like my family. About 15 months later, I watched some documentaries called What The Health, Cowspiracy and Earthlings.

This led me to realise that the only reason I went vegetarian was to lose weight – I wasn’t focusing on my health, or the animals, or the environment. After realising this, I went vegan straight away and have been vegan for 6 months now. I am losing weight, exercising 6 days a week, eating a 100% plant based healthy diet and am currently studying the Danish language and law
