I went vegan on May 10, 2016. I had just binge watched everything Netflix had to offer on food and health, the environment, then I started to google, the tears came and I said to myself I seriously can’t keep living this way. My main concern with what I had learned was what we as humans were doing to the planet by eating meat. Once learning that giving up animal products would be the biggest impact I could have on my carbon footprint I made the decision to ditch them. Since then I’ve learned so much more through reading, researching and through the amazing community I’ve found on Instagram and YouTube.

I stay vegan for the planet, the animals and for my health. I do not say this to sound trite but I have not had a bite of meat or cheese since that day, unfortunately due to label reading and sneaky ingredients a few accidental milk or egg products have managed to slip in. I’ve since learned to be a ingredient reading Ninja.

Once I was about six months in my husband made the decision to give veganism a try as well. He has really taken to it and it is such a joy to be a team in this effort now. We have three daughters that are about 50/50 right now, they are very picky, I truly wish I had of know what I know know earlier so they could have been vegan since birth. We try to encourage friends in a very chill and motivating way to give it a try. It is my belief that every bite of animal product you refuse is one more step towards healing our planet and your own body. I am a vegan that supports anyone’s efforts to reduce their animal product intake.

I like to spread a message of vegan love and support not condemnation and hate. Cheers to all the vegans out there and to those that may join the ranks someday, because we truly are fighting a battle for our planet, the animals and our bodies that we must win! I am currently working on getting my blog started to share information and vegan recipes.
