This is a picture of me and my daughter Mia.
When I was 15 my dad and I became a veggie. I was veggie for 6 years and for some reason I went back to eating meat but my dad didn’t. Back then there weren’t many choices and when young and out with friends there were too many temptations. Then flash forward to when I was 34 (I’m 36 now) I went back to being veggie again because I just didn’t feel right eating meat after going to a Vegan fair with my friends. My eyes were opened again. Very shortly after eating a vegetarian diet I went vegan as I was just far more aware of cruelty to animals than I ever have been. There’s so many vegan options that are so delicious without harming any animals so why cause that pain when you don’t have too. I feel healthier and happier than I have in years.
I believe that most people eat meat and animal products because they just don’t see the food as something living with feelings. If you don’t see the pain that’s caused then you don’t think about it. Now there are so many more programmes and articles about veganism that I think we are seeing a huge boom in the vegan movement.
